Target setting for children

Individual target cards can be found here. Change the term accordingly, then get the children to write in their target. Stick the targets on the inside cover of their maths books. Remind them to check regularly.

For children to track their progress in half term assessments
In lower KS2 I used to create an assessment each half term with 10 m+o questions and a main part which totalled 50. I would then get the children to track their progress for both on this tracker. The children would plot their m+o and total score. Not only could they monitor their own progress, but it was good to practise creating line graphs too!
